Meet Zainab Badat

Mental Health Occupational Therapist BSc Occupational Therapy

Zainab is a dedicated and experienced occupational therapist and mental health clinician, passionate about supporting young people and their families through life’s ups and downs. She brings warmth and expertise to her work with a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, ADHD, body image concerns, eating disorders, low mood, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, and sensory processing difficulties.

Since 2014, Zainab has worked in diverse mental health settings across South Africa and New Zealand, providing evidence-based treatment to individuals, groups, and families from a range of cultural backgrounds. In addition to her private practice, she also works as a family therapist with a non-governmental organisation (NGO), supporting at-risk youth and their families.

Zainab also offers individual and group supervision to health professionals and support workers, fostering reflective practice and skill development.

Zainab believes that every individual deserves to feel empowered, connected, and hopeful about their future—and is committed to walking alongside you on your path toward healing and growth.
